I just pulled a Ken and Googled Carnate. Looks like it's Italian.

Those are pretty good numbers with Z06 type hp and more than Z06 type torque numbers! :upthumbs

Right.Carnate is located about 12 km from Monza (F1 autodrome),Milano 's District-Italy
I'm member of The Italian Corvette Club and ,after the last results, I believe my c5 is becoming one of the most performing. To be honest ,the vice president of our club ,has got 3 Vettes,c4 ZR1,c3 and a c4 Geiger Biturbo by more 600 CV..
Next week end we'll be in Spain at Ronda Autodrome(close to Marbella south of Spain) to test the new c6: in Europe the c6 sales are starting from december.
Please kindly excuse if I have reported the data in metric and not in feet but we are not used to.
thanks and regards
:D

Hi,

Do you see many Vette's in Italy? Have you ever run with the Euro sports cars? How do they fare?

Not really.Italy , as You know, is the Country for Ferrari, Maserati,Lamborghini,Zonda Pagani and after in Italy and Europe the most popular Dream Car is Porsche....Vette is for lovers of american car only.

Yes ,often I drive my Vette in the autodrome (so called Speed Day) and these days are at theme:eg Japanese Cars,American, etc...recently I drove against Porsche Turbo, Supra, BMW M3, Ferrari 360 Modena etc...
I'm pretty happy with my vette, in the past I got a Supra and before a Porsche Carrera 2 911/964, and for sure I have not any complaint about .
Most probably in the next future I'll buy a c2 coupè 1966 427 we'll see.

Paolo
Let us know what you think of the C-6, when we toured the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky there were quite a few "European" models in the assembly line and that was 6 weeks ago, I guess the boat ride across the Atlantic takes a while :D

like Edmond said they are quite impressive dyno numbers, you shouldn't be embarressed by any of your Italian exotics :L

Thanks for Your messages. For sure I'm not embarassed but on contrary I'm really proud of my Vette and now I'm waiting for the good opportunity to show it in practice....next stage in Monza on the December 4th ....Japanese-German and American cars Day....I'm little bit scare about Viper GTS only....

;LOL Paolo, I hope you didn't misunderstand me; I meant that anything you run across would not be able to run away from you. I can't wait to hear how you do at Monza and pictures would be appreciated.
