2016 C7.R Z06 "ROSA" - black 'Vert w/yellow accent
Had a judging class and show at Tony's Corvette on Saturday. It was a dual show between Mason-Dixon and MAC. We judged Tony's 1967 300 horse vert that was basically an all-original car and John Veen's all-original 1981 coupe. The classes were very informative - different year carpets were presented; making correct RIVET repairs; fixing dents like in window channel and then polishing; we had a rolling 1965 chassis we went over; and there were several other classes.

LADY's dyno went well - we only took her up to 5800 rpm - still only have about 1000 miles on the engine, so want to still baby her a little! she sounded sweet on the dyno though! turned 215 horsepower at the rear wheel and this was adjusted by the machine for temperature, baro pressure, etc.

FYI - Tony has the ONLY machine that can do all of the adjustments. Calloway, Lingenfelter and many others go to him for testing

Rick

I'd love to come down sometime for one of Tony's classes. Can you let me know when he is having them again?

Sorry I missed it Rick. My son is getting married this weekend and I had Best Man/Father of the Groom duties to tend to. Did you, per chance, see Lil Darlin (my 67)? I've seen Tony's dyno shop and it is second to none!
Now I just gotta ask, which rear wheel did the 215 come from? ;)
Did you get a chance to do the other rear wheel, too?

Barry. the class was a Mason/Dixon NCRS club meet held in concert (had to call it a concert cause I know there were some sweet sounds) with another club.
Stay in touch and I, or Rick, will be glad to let you know when we do it again.
Visitors are always welcome.

I thought they dyno'ed the front wheels too. :)

Seriously, the car sounded GREAT. You should be happy with those dyno results. Many don't know, but "back in the day" of the HP wars, they rated engine HP using flywheel gross HP, NOT rear wheel net HP.

The test engines had no accessories, ran headers, etc., JUST to get the gross HP numbers up.

SO, any engine rated at 360HP the "old" way would rate much less using "net" HP, the new way. Chuck

Chuck,

I'm ecstatic with the results. Tony asked me before the run what I thought LADY would do, and I said around 225 - so, not too far off - Tony and Keith figure once LADY is completely broke in, she she be about 250 horses at the rear wheels

Of course you know I was just yankin your chain a little. Excellent results from probably the best 63 I ever laid eyes on! It's always interesting to see what the "old" hp numbers convert to with the "new" way of calculating the rwhp. And Tony is just the guy to do it. I look forward to being with you and the Mason Dixon folks again, real soon.

Gator,

I know you was funnin'! did not see your Lil Darlin - we were stuck at the "bottom" shed all day. I was hoping to do the Mason-Dixon dinner Wednesday nite (tonite) but I am in Hampton Roads on bidness
