Hi,

I need to repair my seats in my 74 corvette. Where is the best place to order those parts?

I have 2 cataloques at home Ecklers and Corvette America. Wish one should I order the seats from?

Are they same quality? Wish company makes the most confortable ones?

My vote would go to MidAmerica. Ecklers seems to have a big problem when it comes to actually shipping the products. I have dealt with them quite a few times and they have broke thier promises more than a few times. Corvette America has to be better than Ecklers although I have never dealt with them. Mid America on the other hand has outstanding customer service and they deliver when they say they will. If you can get something somewhere besides Ecklers get it there.

you left out mid america, they manufacture their own, i've been dealing with them for awhile, they can't be beat for quality and service......

Try Al Knoch...Good quality, premier stuff.. Also, check out Wilcox, Corvette Central and Zip Products to name just a few. Welcome to CAC. I as well am in the process of doing my seats. Check out my post as well in the C3 forum @ covering my 1979 seats. Many replies that should help.

I bought my seat covers as well as interior parts from Mid-America. Great quality, perfect fit and great service. :)

How do I vote for 'neither'- they both suck compared to other suppliers and manufacturers.

I'd say you just did!!

Tepot, it has been speculated you will get the same product from either company, that said Wilcox sells Corvette America seats for substantially less. ($550 for mounted seat covers) Also carpet, ($215) and also great customer service.

i totally agree!

I've done my last four interior jobs with Wilcox. They do sell Corvette America products but with a much better total price. A plus for them on my last job,73 dark saddle,Corvette America could not match the exact color so Wilcox got them from Al Knoch and gave me the original quoted price. Can't beat that. I just received a shipment for my next job and Wilcox got items from other distributors when CA was unable to carry what I needed. They go out of their way to help with your needs. Talk to Norm or Ernie.

Contact Wally Knoch at Nitro Alley. He's Al's brother and distributes their product.

In February, Wally sold me leather seat covers, carpet and padding for my 70' that BEAT Corvette Central (whose inferior carpet I returned) in price.

I hear good things about the other vendors mentioned on this thread. However, I don't think anyone will refute that Al Knoch interior products are The Best.

Good Luck and say "hi" to Wally for me (great guy!).

Wally has already contacted me and I'll work with him on my next job. I agree that Knoch has the best quality but sometimes price is a factor with my jobs.I think Wally is going to help with that end. Thanks, Fred

Corvette Central has the best exhaust systems around. I've purchased several complete and never a problem with fit or missing pieces ect. They make their own to Corvette specs. Again just my $.02. Fred

Ecklers or Corvette America for seat covers

I had bought seat covers, foam , door panels and the necessory hardware
from Corvette America . Had very little trouble installing , one advantage I
live close to Boalsburg and was able to pick up . All my questions were
answered .
