Does anyone else have problems with 1982 collectors edition ecm's(1225550)? I had a defective one, sent it back for the second time,to another place this time I got two defective ones,both had different errors.

Bought mine over the counter at Autozone. No issues. Have you verified that you don't have a shorted sensor that's killing these ECM's.

It's always possible to have an ECM that's bad right out of the box. Two like that would be far less likely but three is inconceivable.

I'd start looking for problems with wires and connections rather than assuming you have successive problems with ECMs. With faulty engine controls, problems with wires and connections are more likely than problems with ECMs, sensors or actuators.

I agree whith both assumtions as to something else being the problem.
But I had a defective one,sent it back amd it came back with the problem fixed but other problems on it not connected to original problem.
Then I ordered a newly rebuilt one outright and that has I third problem,nothing to do with original problem. Are these proms picking problems at randon?
