Edlebrock carb and manifold

Is anyone running with this combo? I'm very close to buying my first Corvette.. a 72 or 73 and want to put this combo on. I'm concerned about the engine fires thing and want to prevent it as much as possible. I already have the steel fuel lines on the list and want to get as much as I can to prevent problems and increase performance.

I have an Edelbrock 800 cfm carb and Edelbrock Air Gap Intake on my setup. Like it alot. Ive always liked Edelbrocks products . Thier carbs are very easy to work on and thier Online Techs are very helpful.

(I also have Edelbrocks Oval Port ALum. Heads which flow alot more than the stock iron heads did, and weighs much less too).
