The car has done this before the EGR cross over going though the intake manifold is starting to have a leak at the gasket where it mates to the heads Again.
The first time I had a set of cheaper intake manifold gasket so last time I forked out the cash and purchased a set of Felpro gasket set, 500 miles or so latter it starting to make the same noise at the same spot.
Any idea's It getting old tearing into the motor again.
Is there a better brand of gasket I can use this time around.
Last time I checked the intake and heads every thing seemed flat and normal where the gasket seat.
I has a aftermarket intake base and TF heads every thing get torqued to spec's when beaning put back together with a Snap On TQ wrench.
1986 with a 383 stroker.
HELP once again.

You mean that little 2 bolt flange? 10mm bolts?

I've never had one leak...Cannot rememeber what gaskets went in there...seems like it was metalic, flat..simple.

Maybe call Midas and see what they use or sell. They're the exhaust experts...they should have some good gasket for that.

I know that sounds sucks when you stand in it......spit spit spit

Nope thats not it.
It the intake gasket it self.
