I have a 84 crossfire with no smog or air and i was wondering.......

1. Can i leave the egr on the intake and remove the soleniod?

2. With the smog stuff removed (do i need the solenoid

3. Do i just block it off?

any ideas? The A.I.R. pump is gone. So will i need the egr sealnoid? What if I just block it off and leave it plugged up? Will it throw any codes

You'll have to leave the solenoid hooked up or you'll get a code. Just plug the vacuum hose that goes to the egr. Yes, you can block off the egr valve.

Where can this solenoid be found? I'v looked on several sites and in catalogs and have been unable to locat a replacement....HELP.......

you do not need the soleniod.if every thing is disconnected and you have not had a code you should have a problem .i have not had mine in over 10 years.
