Electric Fan on C6???

Hi Guys
Just parked my '07 C6 in the garage and I had a whine coming from the engine compartment. When I turned off the engine, it sounded like a electric fan which then stopped running. It was 90 deg outside today and I was running the AC. Could this be the AC or does the C6 have an aux. cooling fan? The sound surprised me since I have not heard it until today (now 3K miles on the car)! Thanks:cool

HI there,
Most of the time, the multiple speeds of the electric fans are so low, you wont hear it.
Only when your temperatures rise, then your fan speeds go up OR your AC system pressures rise, so the fans must go higher to drop the pressures.
Normal.

ALWAYS turn off you AC 30 seconds before you shut down. This gives the airways a chance to purge condensation. (Unless you like mold/mildew.)
