Does anyone have a good point of contact or a web sight to go to, to order the connector plugs on our vettes. These guys are plastic and if there are lots of miles and years on your vettes......

The heat/air blower relay connector plug has discentigrated and I could sure use another. I have no grave yards near by. I don't need a whole harness, just the connector. I could use a few other ones too as will that have kind of dried up and hope I don't have to touch them for they might fall apart too.

If you can help I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Bob w/Jetrs

Sorry but Rat Shack won't have a dealer item like the connector....

But a quick look through the Mid America and Ecklers catalog shows they do indeed have new connectors available. The catalogs are free for the asking.

Granted, Radio Shack will not have dealer/GM connectors, but it appeared from jet4rs' post, he wanted an alternative connector...........

You may want to read his post again...it does not suggest an alternative....if anything it suggests aquiring the stock replacements and asks where they might be found. Secondly I am sure he being like most of us here would rather stay with the GM stock item then jury rigging connectors everywhere. The wiring and connectors plus the grounds on the vette are a constant amazement to me. I have been an electrical engineer for 35 years and doubt I will ever understand what was going through their minds when they designed the electrical system for the vette. Why compound the problems by splicing in garden variety connectors when the stock ones are available for much the same price and in most cases less then Radio Shack will charge...make no sense to me. Plus there is the old adage...if it is worth doing...then it is worth doing it right....

Thanks Eagle,
I concure and that is exactly what I meant. It is kind of difficult to install a radio shack plug and get it to connect to the relay. This particular connector has been bastardized before me.

I have looked at ecklers and they don't have that one for the blower relay but some of the others. There has got to be a company out in the world wide web of things that has what we are looking for.:beer

Please excuse me for trying to help......no malice was intended....nor did I expect to be chastized for my humble efforts.

You might want to try the "Thomas Register". It's a site where every manufacture of anything on this planet can be found. Type in 'electrical connectors' in the search bin. You should be able to find what your looking for.

Believe it or not, but PepBoys has a pretty good collection of pig tail connectors.

Thanks 6Speeder it's just that Radio Shack is not quit the answer I was looking for. Great place to pick up some special splices and to keep your stereo on line but not your corvette.
:hb I have talked to an NCRS guy who should have known, but he hasn't put me onto the right path. I need a good junk yard with good parts.

Thanks again,

Thanks, I'll check tomorrow on my way home go by everyday.

jet4rs,
Here is where you can get the connector. You will need to provide them the part number of the connector ans they can then look up the terminal part number that fits the connector.
No electroniuc stores will have the connecotr because the automotive world makes their own connectors to do the job. The company that supplied the connecotr and built the harness for the Vet was "Packard Electric" they have now changed their name to Delphi.
The address and contact information I have listed is for Power and SIgnal who is the small quantity out let source.
