I have finally isolated my cruise problems to the turn signal stalk cruise switches. What I am thinking of doing is installing three small switches between the seat switches on the console. One the turn signal stalk is discontinued and the ones I have found were way too costly. Second I think I may have a solution that others might want to try.

What I need is someone with electrical knowledge to look at my wireing schematics and see if I am on the right track.

I was just thinking about replacing my switch this morning while driving to work.

You will need to match the contact state of the switch you use with the existing. If the contact is shown as closed (switch contacts touching) then your switch should be a normally closed switch. The switch contacts in the factory schematic are all normally open (abbreviated as N.O.). The ON switch should be a "maintained" switch. This will stay in position when you turn it on. The Set is N.O. momentary. The Resume/Accellerate is a little more complicated as it is moved to on the same time as the ON switch and is switched off momentarily to resume the set speed and switched off to accelerate. Obviously your switch needs to return to on as soon as you let go of the button or toggle and also has to maintain contact for everything to work. I am wondering if this switch can be a normally closed (N.C.) momentary. I would want to find out if the Resume/Accellerate contact can be a N.C. contact before going any further.

Disclaimer: Personally I think I'll pay the extra money to buy the aftermarket replacement. Years ago I had a car that would accelerate on it's own when on cruise control. If you get this wrong or it malfunctions it could be more than you bargained for to get the car under control. Most people are familiar with the cruise stick and can easily turn it off quickly. Depending on how this is installed those moments to flip the right switch could make the difference in time that you would need to get things under control.
