My purchase of a C4 LT4 1996 vet has some issues with starting or dead battery syndrome.
At time after turning on the key and attempting to start all goes blank or seem dead. I thought it may have been the starter jammed as it is a new battery so I would rock the car in gear this appeared to correct the problem but not always I do have a clutch issue that need to be repaired (slave or master cyl) but the starting issue has left me with not trusting the car to use any help would be appreciated.

Have you started with verifying you have a decent battery?

Yes its brand new and fully charged.
I just removed the starter looks a bit burnt, and a small wire I think missing just behind the solinoid from a small square hole there might have been a small ruber boot over it?? I, will get it checked out tomorrow. For some reason I dont think that's the issue unless there is a dead short on a place on the armiture.

Considering you found that I would it checked. Sounds like you make have a bad starter. When I run into that, I try to tap on them with a hammer, sometimes will get them to work, then you know you have a bad starter.

when it works it is real good there just must be a bad spot I will find out and report.

Starter checks out good they sugested that there is a ground wire under the dash that has a bad contact or loose causing the power or no power problem

I would get a FSM and begin to trouble shoot from there. Wiring diagrams are a huge help.

Spent some time going thru thru the car on removing the batery I found the positive terminal stud striped replaced it with the negitive bolt and made a new one for the the neg terminal so far have had no more trouble starting.
Other issues intermitant over heating
Cd stuck in radio
some movement in the transmition posible uver joints nedd replacing this car came from Gorgia It may have been in some floods in the past as that was amajor issue som time back but car fax dosent mention anthying
