I have a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. It's license plate is "ENDOFEM" I thought it was appropriate because of the F body's demise. I have since purchased a 2003 Silver Coupe, do you think that tag could be transfered to the Vette, since I'm hearing the 2003 will be the last of the C5 generation. I've been a F-body fan for many years. I had a 1977 vette in my younger years but had to settle for the F body because of my family's need for my "Play" money. I'm now able to keep everyone happy and now getting back to my first love,"The Corvette." I have not kept up with Corvette news so any help will be appreciated.

I don't see why not...

...it would make a great conversation topic with a good story to tell.
(I do not know if 2003 is the last year for the C5 body style)

Hi Robotfixer,
I have heard from Chevy Dealer that the 2003 is the last C5. He told me he has a 2004 on order because the buyer belives that the 2004 will be a C6. I, however, have -not- found any information confirming this. I read the standard mags as verifying sources and these mags have been very quiet. What I believe is that the 2003 is the last true Vette. The 2004 models wil roll out the Cadillac XLR. This will be build on a C5 platform in the Bowling Green plant. Are they (Chevy) going to split the manufacturing, i.e. this many platforms go to the Vette side and that many go to the Caddy side? I don't know. But, it appears that Chevy will build 2 "Vettes" - the Corvette (the real McCoy) and the XLR (the expensive cousin). Therefore, the 2003 is the last "pure" Corvette. All of this is IMVHO. Which is all the more reason why I wanted a 2003 Corvette.

No, the 2003 will NOT be the last year of the C5.

Chevrolet has already announced 2004 comemorative editions of the C5! The C6 is to be introduced in 2005 model year, probably in the summer or fall of 2004.

Robotfixer -- do you think that tag could be transfered to the Vette

YES! From a DMV standpoint. You can switch plates between cars. You just need to fill out some paperwork.

:Silly :Silly :Silly
