Hey:

I am considering the ZZ383 from GM ... however I also want to supercharge it ... Holley suggests a 7.5:1 compression for 8lb boost ... the 383 has a 9:1, how do you go about lowering compression??

To make that level of change, you buy new (forged) blower pistons and new rings, re-bore/hone to fit the pistons, have the assembly re-balanced, etc. I'd also put a premium set of aftermarket rods in it - the stock rods are a weak link with a blower.
