It's a 350 CID smallblock, but not a Corvette engine. 3970010 is the casting number for a generic GM 350. This block was used in Corvettes, but also dozens of other application.

K is the plant code where the engine was assembled, in this case, St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Camaro and Firebird engines were assembled at St. Catherines, but not Corvette engines.

0615 is the date the engine was assembed, June 15th.

Yup - McKinnon made LOTS of engines for other passenger cars and trucks, made at Oshawa and Ste. Therese and at some of the U.S. assembly plants as well.
