Is there any way to estimate the horse power that my broken engine put out before she broke?
I did a compression test before and was running 150 psi on all 8 cylanders. It had aftermarket cash headsd from world producs with 1.94 intake 1.5 exhaust valves, and 170 cc runners, with roller rockers. The cam which i have yet to take out made the car have a mild lope at idle. I also have a performer intake and a 600 cfm carb. The pistons look like they are flat to and are not dished. Any rough estimation would be greatly appreciated, as I am getting a crate engine and want to make sure that I am getting as much HP if not more then before. If you want to know what happened to the engine the post was called "done in". Thanks for any help I am looking at the GM 330 hp crate engine with cast vortec heads, and am wondering if my roller rockers from crane will work on the new heads?
Thanks for all the info
