Only one more annoying question after this one - for at least a few days.... :)

Mine came with the "modern" looking aerodynamic specialty whatsit mirrors instead of "GOD'S OWN CHROME" ones....

The driver one even had a remote cable, sadly buried in the door and duct-taped... :cry

I have considered changing them since they don't have that much visibility, but the chrome ones don't look to be a huge improvement and in old Mopars those things were notorious for blowing off setting at speed (85 MPH)...

I can't even find a mechanically adjustable righthand one.

Nor can I find a fitting deal to mount the adjustment wand on the current driver one should I wish to drill a hole for it and at least make it functional.

If I actually change them, I'd like some cool ATAS electrically changeable ones, like on most current cars. The driver side doesn't matter that much, but it would be nice to be able to adjust the passenger side, without having the gearshift act as a "mini-harpoon."

Both mirrors on my 81 are electric, controlled by a mini joystick on the console, came stock that way. Find a set and you'll be happy :D

i took apart my power mirrors and i have the harness that scott was talkign about........ it connects to the console joystick and along behind the dash to the plugs that connect to the wires that come out of the doors themselves....... ive seen stock power mirrors go on ebay for 50-75$
