Exact Build Date

How to I determine the exact day my '76' was built? I want to ahve a 30 year birthday party, actually its just a excuse to have another party which is good. So how do I find out the exact day?

If you'll accept the date that GM attached the trim tag to the body as the car's 'birthdate' , then you'll find it in the upper right hand corner of the tag.

The letter stands for the month , and the two digits for the date. 'A15'would be August 15th 1975. 'B23' would be September 23rd etc.

The average Corvette came off the assembly line one day after the Trim Tag Date Code. The Trim Tag Date Codes give the date the body was completed and probably placed on the frame.

Any of the birthday calculators I've seen are based on a minimum of data points and a lot of statistical interpolation, they are NOT based on hard factual data for each and every car. As a result you can get some pretty weird and inaccurate date predictions.

Sorry its been a while since I posted this but I have been out of town. My vin last 5 are 21145. I was going to look on the trim tag but its been painted over and I can't read it so I am going to have to remove the paint. I appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks
