Who has the exact placement for the telescopic hood prop? I have decided to dump the scissors.

Well, c'mon up to Ricky & Ronnie's sometime and you can measure mine. :upthumbs

I gotta get to some of the Orange County/San Diego events this year! :cool

I'd love to but I have to get the +3 operating first; maybe later today, after the FatMat goes in the driver's side.

Another look reveals that the '84 hood is very different with the CF ducting and dissimilar structural bracing. It is not a simple bolt on, as there are no receiver nuts, nor easy access to mount some. I'll either have to fabricate something (again) or keep that genuine-solid-oak-shovel-handle-hood-prop handy, in case the 'scissors' fail.

watsamatta? My old cast-off scissors-prop not good enough for you??? :)

Is there clearance on the passenger side to just use the existing nuts in the hood?

I am not in the least ungrateful, Rich...truly. ;worship I worked on your scissors some, and it works rather well, but is a bit tight; hence it won't slid into LOCK without some help. I have to dance around the front end, gingerly, to slide-lock it before the hood falls. (what a visual!)

The 'existing' is very different on this hood, which is symmetrical. There are two unused, threaded holes on each side, but their placement will not allow the 'new' prop to fit.

Thanks for the ideas.
