Hi,
Looking for some expert advise on how to remedy my wheel hop. First the basics. I have an 03 Z06 with stock tires. My only mods are a tunnel ram, X pipe and Borla Stingers. I lowered the rear for about 3 months and eventually raised it back to the stock setting. (Or close to it.) It was only lowered using stock equipment and I had 4 threads showing. The wheel hop started while it was lowered and it will hop even when on a wet surface. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

The C5 has a design problem that manifests itself on wheel hop (or "axle tramp") as some call it. Typically, wheel hop is a suspension or tire related issue but with the C5, it's a driveline torsional problem that cannot be solved through suspension modifications.

Some C5 drag racers have sucess in mitigating the problem to a certain extent by varying their launch technique and using different tires.

Lowering the car, which reduces suspension travel, will make the car more prone to wheel hop.
