I want to convert my 72 Vette's standard rear bumper chrome burning rear exhaust to the ALL AMERICAN HOT ROD side exhaust. It has a 350 SBC and I might want the stock side covers. Is keeping the stock side pipe covers a good idea? Does the side exhaust pipe heat burn the stock covers up if not your leg? It will be a while before I start to convert it, but I wanted to hear what side exhaust Corvette owners have to say if the stock side covers are worth keeping or not. Keep 'em rumbling!!
