Ok , I now realize from my previous post's ,that NOBODY has made a replacement tank for a '73.
I also understand why the books and sites that i have been looking at are so vague about it...just tell me it dont exist!
Anyway, now i need advise and opinions.....My current tank is functioning....however after i stripped the paint off it, it looks like its off a '53 not a '73. very discolored and i couldnt get all the paint out of the wrinkels...so where do i turn...i cant put this nasty looking thing back into the engine compartment looking this shabby....
Can this be primed and painted with spray paint?
seems like the old paint did good , i just dont want it to come off to easily.
If so , i would like opinions on a color...the compartment is matte black for the most part....should i make it blend in or make it diffrent?
