Export a 2008 US-Z06 into Canada

Can anyone give me some insight as to how I might sucessfully import a US 2008 Z06 into Canada and register it there? Thanks.

Any Corvette manufactured after September 1, 2007 is no longer admissable into Canada.

From what I understand GM Canada has told the Canadian government that any Corvette manufactured after this date cannot be converted to meet Canadian bumper crash standards. From what I understand the devices that are mounted behind the bumpers are what would have to be replaced. GM Canada is not making them available.

This is a tremendous inconvenience to the enthusiasts up here who thought that with the stronger Canadian dollar we would be able to pick up fairly new Corvettes at competitive prices from the US. Nope, not anymore. I would love to hear from anyone else if they know more information.

I was tried to sell my 03 in Canada a couple years ago and I was informed that the car would require bumper modifications.The cost would be approx.$1200 and it was good to go.

Those people in New Brunswick that I talked with indicated it was done at body shops on the Canadian side and certified over there.
My plan was to sell my car over there and let them worry about it.
