The week before last my gas gauge suddenly dropped to zero. Stopped at the Chevy dealer near work, the said they would take a look and let me know. The result was it needed to be reprogrammed, total cost $200. Again this Friday the same thing happened. This time it needed a new sensor total cost $630, but they gave me credit for the two hours of labor they had spent the prior week. I guess that was a good deal. Why am I telling you this? My advice, get the extended warrantee. My car is now four years old with 34K miles and is not eligible. If I had the warrantee, it would have been covered.
So if you can get that extended warrantee!
