I am trying to help a friend who has an LT-1 in a Land Rover.

The fuel pump keeps failing and I suggested the pump is going dry. Outside of baffling the tank, is there an external fuel pump that will work?

Thanks. mike

mike,

Did you get somethig worked out on that fuel pump? Hopefully you did, but if not this should bump you back to the top.

There are numerous electric external fuel pumps on the market. All you need to know is the PSI you need and how many inlets and outlets. You didn't say what he was using now. Is it the original tank and internal pump for an LT1 equipped chevy or what?? Why does the tank run dry?? Are you sure you have the correct fuel cap, vented vs. non-vented? Maybe if you have a non-vented cap it creates a vacuum in the tank and the pump runs dry and burns up. Just a silly thought on my part. Good Luck.

I believe that you are right about the fuel pump.....check with Summit racing ....they have some very knowledgable sales people that can help on the right type of fuel pump for your application....
Just my thoughts on this subject
good luck
Mike

Thanks, guys. The issue is off my plate, but I'll try to find out what he did.
