Well, I was detailing my baby yesterday and when I slid the drivers seat all the way forward I found the female end of an extra seat belt bolted to the floor. And wouldn't you know it, the male was on the other side. Have any of you ever heard of such a thing? Blew me away. I can't immagine how that 3rd person would sit in there.

Hmmm... Curious. Could it have had something to do with racing harnesses, possibly? ;shrug

Belts

Don't think so Ken. The belt is an aftermarket with one end behind eash seat like someone was going to sit on the console or something. I wonder if someone offered a child seat that sat on the console or immediately behind it. The brackets for mounting to the floor are using the inside seat rail bolts. Anyway, I removed them.

I don't think there is a manufacturer of child car seats that would put his business on the line by selling something like that, but then... You might remember Dan Ackroyd's character on SNL, who made "the most dangerous toys on the US market." "Bag O' Glass" which was basically a bagful of, you got it, broken glass. ;LOL

You're probably right though; the previous owner probably jerry-rigged, or as this case may be - jury-rigged, a child seat in there. :eyerole
