Hello everyone!! I joined this GREAT site a couple of weeks ago and have been enjoying all the AWESOME posts and INVALUABLE INFO that I've read on and about the GREATEST AMERICAN CAR EVER PRODUCED !!!

I am a NEW and EXTREMELY PROUD owner of a Torch Red 1995 LT1 Coupe with 42,125 miles on her!!!!
She is an Automatic (ORLANDO TRAFFIC major factor) with GLASS TOP and has about all the OPTIONS cept FX3.
I bought her from ROGER'S CORVETTES here in Orlando and I am VERY HAPPY!!! (you should see all the MID YEARS and L88's!!!)

This is not my first vette as I had an '84 about 8 years ago. That was a LOVE, hate relationship and that's a different story for some other day!! I did LOVE that VETTE though... YOU NEVER FORGET YOUR FIRST VETTE!!!!

I guess I better get on to some ???

1.Opti-Spark....Guess it's not matter of if but when??
2.160 Stat and cooling switches for the fans on those 95+ degree ORLANDO summer days???
3.She came with K&N AIR FILTER...Does this really help performance????
4.MAGNAFLOW exhaust system...What do you guys think???
5.Tires appear to be in GOOD shape... FIRESTONE FIREHAWKS any good or bad opinions on these or other tires???
6.Can I get another REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY from a CHEVY Dealer as a back up to mine??? I LOVE THIS FEATURE but from some of the posts I have read, sounds like it can be a PAIN at times???
7.Any TOP NOTCH VETTE shops in or around ORLANDO area???
8.Orlando Corvette Car Clubs????

Thanks to any and all responses!!!
SAVE THE WAVE!!!

Welcome To The Corvette Action Center nookbrooke!

Glad you finally decided to speak up. :upthumbs
  • K&N is the only way to go.
  • Magnflow is as good as any I guess.
  • I run the Firestone Firehawks. I like 'em. ;)
  • Have you checked our club and service listings for the Orlando area yet?

Others will be along to answer the other questions, and hopefully provide more tips for you. Welcome to the fold. :CAC

Congrats on the new addition!

Post us some pics of your new vette when ya get the chance.

Optispark. - Dont get it wet - check for weeping under the waterpump.. If and When the waterpump goes south, it will probably take your opti with it.

If you clean your engine, dont use water on it. Again, as youve read, if the opti gets wet, Its possible to become toast.
Its easy to clean even the dirtiest engine with rags, an air line, rags again, air line again, and then hit it with something like Trim & Shine. (
company in Poplarville, MS makes it)

Spare key fob - check ebay = Typically can get them for 20-75$ cheaper than the dealership and lots of em come up for C4 vettes. Got mine on there. Have yet to program it, but always great to have a backup.

Everything sounds great on your vette!

Congrats nooke on your investement, hehe!Enjoy, Maybe some useful info pertaining to your request,160 stat with a good chip, May I recomend Ed Wrights fast chip, just a thought, Manual fan switch even with a Chip, gives ya the ability to cool when U think it is neccesary, Throttle body bypass, Im sure u dont need Coolant going through your throttle body , as i dont in Vegas, they say it helps to get the heat out of the throttle body jacket, Water Wetter made by Redline products, U being in a warm climate, just remember good ole H2O has the best heat dispersion out of anything, but use Distilled water in your system, Water Wetter has a lubricant for water pumps in it, but if ya feel safer add a little DEXCOOL for that yr vette, I flushed and filled with Water Wetter and Distilled Water and i run 180 on a 115 degree day, add A/C and i max at 188-190, big improvement, just a note, If ya do go with Ed Wrights chip, there fans go on at 180 degrees VS the factory 228.Good Luck. :beer

By the way ! nice Pics "Rain" Nice Ride!Gotta investigate on how to put some pics of my ride up.:beer
