Hitch i bought for my 86 but will not need. Fits 85-96.
No welding, easy install.

This is slighty off topic...I have seen these in the Ecklers catalog and wondered, why would you want to tow with your corvette? Are Vette's actually rated to tow anything, like a GM spec on it?? Can the car even handle towing any weight behind it?

I mean its a sports car not a weekend tow vehicle. I'm just wondering.

I do not know about the specs, but they are for towing light weight, like if you had a motorcycle on a small trailer or a skidoo. I think that the vette sits so low that it prohibits you from towlng anything large because the hitch is so low to the ground you can realistically only tow a small trailer.

There's no welding needed, the kits are designed to be bolted to the frame. I hope this info answers your question.
