Fans making noise?

Since a recent leak in a radiator hose, one (or both) of my fans is making quit a spectacle of itself. I can tell it's the fans, because the noise continues for a few seconds after the car is turned off, and slows itself to a stop.

I'm not really set up to raise my car to work on it. I've searched on replacing radiator fans here, but got no good results. Do you have to pull the fans from the bottom of the car, or can you pull them out from the top? My goal is to yank the fans, clean and lube, and hope I don't have to replace them.

How hard is this to do, and does anyone have a good set of instructions, or a good manual to buy that has instructions on pulling the fans?

I'm not sure on your car, but on mine it only has one, and from memory of my engine bay I don't see a way of it coming out through the top....You probably have to take the shroud off, if not it would probably make it easier. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.

On my 92, I pulled the secondary fan out from the bottom of the car and replaced it with a new one, but was unable to remove the primary fan from the top or bottom due to the a/c condenser & lines. The fan shroud will have to be removed along with the a/c lines. As far as instructions go for removal, the service manual has great diagrams to do it. Best of luck.
