Hello,
My Vette has been running well for the summer so far until this morning. I jumped in, pumped the pedal and started her like usual. This time though when I turned the key, the idle was WAY too fast! So i let her run figuring "what the hell, why not." Well, 8 hours later I have still been waiting for that to slow down. So I had to call out at work lol. Well I opened the hood and took a look at the carb. Its a Rochester quadrajet, the first thing I thought was maybe the choke rod is stuck? So I "monkeyed" with the linkages, sprayed them with carb cleaner. Still very fast idle that will not kick down. I also noticed the "high idle" cam can be moved by hand up and down. hmmm... I am not a very big Rochester fan, I had a 2 barrel on my 1971 Cutlass and it was well crap!
So if anyone could help me out that would be very VERY much appreciated!
Kyle
