fiberglass t-top adjustment

Can anyone tell me the proper height in relationship to the roof for fiberglass tops on a late model c3. I have an '81 that came stock with glass t-tops. I have the GM service manual and assembly manual that explain adjustment parameters for the glass tops. After breaking a couple of sets of glass tops, I decided to do the Corvette community a favor and stop using them (abusing them), so I got a set of fiberglass tops. The problem is that the manuals have the height as .14" to .25" higher than the roof (at back edge) for the GLASS tops. I'm pretty sure the fiberglass tops should be lower, but they are not mentioned in any of my material. Should they be level with the roof, or higher, and if so, how much? They should be level... but good luck getting them even. They are a PITA to get them to sit flush with the B pilar.
