Fieldcrest towels

A few month's ago I got this web-site address for Fieldcrest/Cannon Towels-

I ordered several and was looking to order more but now the site asks for a password. Anyone know what's going on? Does it have something to do with Fieldcrest going into bankruptcy?

Their parent company PillowTex is bankrupt. They are liquidating. :cry

Time to look for another supplier.

I like Charter Club available at Goldsmiths. 100% Cotton. Seemed to work well. I have 'Zainoed' my Vette, my bike and my wife's SUV.

I just picked up a party pack of Fieldcrest towels (white) for around $12. It included two reg size towels, two hand towels and two face towels and it was ring spun combed cotton.

Hmmm. I've never heard of a "party pack". Makes me wonder what type of "party" we're talking about. (This topic belongs in another thread in another section. :crazy )

In case you haven't heard this before, even though the manufacturer's label indicates 100% "Made in the USA" cotton towels, they may not be. The knap is probably 100% cotton but the backing probably is a polyester blend. For the Fieldcrest towels, the only style of towel that I am aware of that is through-and-through 100% cotton are the "Royal Velet" or "Charisma" lines. They usually cost between $10 and $20 for a single bath-size towel. You may have gotten a real good deal since the company is liquidating.

Be careful when you use the towels. If you push too hard against the towel, the backing will be more likely to become in contact with the surface of your paint.

Good thought, l will burn a thread and look at it under a microscope tomorrow. Being that most of the towels that are ring spun combed and made in the good old USA should be that.

But our laws state that if it's less then 3% it doesn't have to be listed.
