My friend brought his '67 427 air coupe home today after doing a frame off restoration. Thought I'd share some pix. We took it for a drive the day he got it home and it's really sweet. Next project is restoring his matching '67 roadster.

Saaaaaweet. Paul67 will love that one. It's a beauty.

Honestly folks, do us midyear guys own the most beautiful cars in the world, or what? :D

No offence to the solid axle guys who feel the same way about theirs. ;)

Wow! I should feel lucky because my 73 only took 1/2 that time and it will be home this week with paint on it.

What a beautiful car! I know he's proud of the results.

I've got a '65 coupe 4-speed with factory air that I believe was sold new near you by Kizzier Chevrolet in Kearney, Nebraska. I was thru Grand Isle, Kearney, etc., recently on my way a bit further west to a job and managed to stop by the Chevy dealer in Kearney (now Midway Chevrolet, I believe) where I had hoped to meet with one of the old employees of now defunct Kizzier Chevrolet. Unfortunately, the gentleman was out and I was unable to talk with him. Still hope to one day get in touch with someone in your neck of the woods who may remember the old Kizzier dealership!

I bought mine basically intact and can't claim credit for the first 80% (new frame, etc.) but I share your love of these cars. What a feeling! Thanks for sharing.

That 3 car garage in the background aint to shabby either!

Actually it's a four stall where his '98 'vert, perferct '52 Chevy business coupe, pickup and the '67 coupe live and the and then down around back there is a heated 5 space garage where he keeps his '70 (bought new) 454 coupe, a '70 454 roadster as well as his '67 roadster, sweet '56 350 4spd BelAir sedan and 3 Harleys. Yeah, the poor dude is single and obviously hates it :D .

Nothing like looking at a fully restored mid-year...makes this Monday Morning a little more tolorable...great looking 67...love the color combo...
