One post away from banning
After hemming and hawing half the day away trying to decide whether to drive the C5 or the 57' I hopped in the 57 and left NJ between three and four PM. Got here at 3 AM CST . Rt 80 sucks !! 2 hrs to go 30 miles in PA. I almost turned back. Needless to say I had to fly the rest of the way to keep on schedule. 100 mph across the rest of Pa. and then through Oh,In,Il. Driving through Chicago at night was cool. Should be called Dan Ryan Raceway.

My :blueangel: was with me no tickets. Probably my Dad lookin out for me. This is my first Bloomington without him.

The 57 took the lickin' and kept on tickin'. Knocked down almost 18 mpg one stretch thanks to the Tremec. Fifth gear is great except with the big ask solid roller I have in there I can't use it until about 80.:upthumbs

I'm beat. Going to bed. I'll post some pics tomorrow night if I can.

Have a great time,And I would say good choice with taking the 57.

I don't regret taking the 57 but man, it is hotter than a MOFO out here. I think I'm going to get a hardtop, tone down the engine a little, and add A/C this winter.

I got so many waves and :upthumbs I've lost count. I've relied on the c5 for long trips lately and kinda forgotten how much fun it is to take old ones on a road trip.

I saw the Pugeleski 53 but know one was aroud it. Lots of nice cars. Predominately C5's:cry I like C5's but I don't go to shows to see them.

Attendance seems down to me. I tried to get a vending space and they told me it was sold out. The place was half empty. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

The Keisler/Tremec 5 spd has worked out great. Only real problem has been a leaking header gasket.

I can't post pics because I for got the cable for the camera. Sorry

Enjoy and have a great weekend and a safe trip back. Looking forward to some photos when you return :)

Good choice, that's the way we used to travel, be safe and enjoy..
