Things moving slow but still progressing , the top of the guards were not correct so these braces were made and the car left outside in the sun so they can take shape and bonding strips will be made under the guards to re inforce them, these are areas that were never too strong on these large flat guards.

The '58 Corvette had reiforcements made of steel that mounted underrneath using the moulding studs. In '59 they increased the thickness of the fiberglass and didn't use them. I think it's a good idea to put them on anyway as the flex in the fender top is easy to feel. Corvette Central has them for $95./pair.

Yours look like they will do the job and save you some money. Nice work.
