Yes, boys and girls. It's all done! I finished her up today and had her out. It was tough and long, but a great experience. Very fun and exciting!!! :D

Just a quick question (because I doubt my mechanical skills ;)). I had her out driving for about 10 - 12 miles and everything seemed fine. Should I assume that she is 100% fixed?

Thanks! :D

Stick a fork in her...she is done...congradulations

CONGRATS my Friend!

Happy trails

Thanks, guys! I'm totally stoked now. Can't wait until tomorrow to drive her!!! :D

Hey Stallion, way to go! Side step it at 3000 rpms, slam 2nd at 5900, try to hit 3rd without breaking your knuckles, then slide into 4th. Continue to do this untill you can do it in your sleep and even 35 years later you'll be able to make all of those around you set up and take notice. peace Bud

congrats stallion..:upthumbs :w bill

Not Again?

Bang off a couple of 7,000rpm shifts and then report back. ;LOL
Might this be the reason "we" had to do this in the first place?;) :eyerole ;LOL

How about a 1200 mile trip to the cruisefest inAuburn to break it in on the Dyno?
Congrats :upthumbs :cool :w

No, sir, I've never red-lined her!! ;)

I'll see what I can do about Auburn, but I really do need all the time I can get to get ready for I-Day at the Academy.

Feels good dont it?

Way to go kid!

Relax and enjoy the ride knowing shes ready to tear up the road when you need.

Congratulations, and welcome to the "busted-knuckle" community! :upthumbs Few things are as satisfying as a job well done. I'd put it up in the air again after you have 5 or 10 miles on it and check the area for leaks, loose bolts, etc., then just drive it and enjoy it :w

Way to go stallion!!!!:)
Im sure you did a great job , patience is a virtue under the circumstances, from what i understand doing a good "burnout" or a nice hard drive would be a good test , if it doesnt break anything i would say its fixed properly
just my 2 cents
Sherry:)

P.S. after a few days or so a good idea is to go over the bolts and snug them again if needed, :)

:upthumbs Congrats on a tough DYI job! Seems you have been accepted to USN Academy ... I've been wondering if it's permitted for freshmen (?plebes?) to have access to a local motor vehicle ... much less have one registered & stickered on base. I recall there's a CAC member (tony?) who recently graduated ... but I don't think he got his C3 until his junior or senior year. Regardless of car regs ... Best wishes for much success with your college and military service career!

-edit- that was Anthony, ( Stingray74CC ) CAC profile here http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/member.php?u=2080 He's not been active lately ... probably real busy, he'll "surface" soon. He'd probably have lotsa tips for a USN Academy freshman with vette fever.

Well I don't think I'll be able to have the Vette on the Yard until 3rd year, but I don't know about having it registered under me (somewhere off the Yard). I'll have to look into that. Thanks a lot, Jack!! :D

Thanks, everybody. I'm just glad to hear her purr again. ;)

If you don't make it to cruise fest maybe I will see you on my next trip back East, I just returned from seeing my new Grandson in Trenton I will probably drive the Vette back in july if I pay my restoration fee ;LOL
