I have them on my '71 and I absolutely love 'em. They're a MUCH better tire then the GoodYear's that were on it when I bought the car and I get lots of compliments on the looks of the tires.

Firestone Tires

We have the Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals on our '96, and I like 'em!

spent an hour on Tire rack the other and the firestones Firehawk had some of the best reviews, also Bridgestone Potenza RE 760 Sport. Where's the sale ?! haha

I put a set on an 88 coupe I had and liked them. However, they were not s wide as the gaterbacks I replaced. Big disappointment to me.

I have a set of the Indy 500 tires on a vehicle (non-vette). I have been happy with them as far as wear, traction, and noise. Good tires, I run them in a 275/60-15 on my 1993 Silverado.

I replaced my Bridgstones with Firehawks; waaaayyy better grip @ track day!
No more B-stones in my future, nor Dunlops, after repeat disappointments. I am considering the Firestones for the next set, IF I can find them in the right size;

this after a few more rounds on the BFG T/As with the 'tire melting' pedal. :w

I'm on my second set of Firehawks, and love em. I'll buy them again:upthumbs

While excellent tires can be had from Firestone under the Firehawk name etc. - I'm a little puzzled as to why you're asking about the 500s. Is this a new or different 500 from the one Firestone has marketed for years as a cosmetic performance tire? The 500s I'm familiar with are not available in C4 sizes but rather vintage 14 and 15 inch sizes largely lacking in high performance specifications.
