Well it looks like the weather guy is calling for 5 inches of snow for thanksgiving. However you all know how that goes. I guess it is time to put the vette away. I usually drive it until it snows, then after that it nevers see's the road. I was hoping this year to drive it on Thanksgiving. Oh well.
They are calling for that much up in South Bend? Yikes... maybe I need to find a garage a little quicker. I have a friend who has a 90 and he says that I can park mine next to his. Looks like I might need to take him up on the offer.
Ask your friend about his insurance before you leave it there.....A fire at his house could mean an end to your friendship...
Just your moneys worth of advise.....from old experiance
good luck....I too have a 1986 black convertible....built late in the year
Looks like were going to get the snow today. Never know how much we'll get, the breaking line for snow around here always seems to run right along I-44.
I-44 runs right through the middle of Lebanon.
They say 1" to 3" here, but not far away (30 miles) they are calling for 4" to 8". I guess only time will tell.
Already did the homework and both insurance companies (mine and his) were fine with this arrangement. Especially mine, they didn't want to see this car sitting in the snow, let alone using it as a snowplow.
It is still snowing here in Indiana it started sticking at around 2:30 or so to the best of my knowledge. We have had a good two to three inches already I would imagine. Looks like us hoosiers in the nort have payed for a mild winter thus far....
No snow here yet as of 11 pm Wed. looks like ground may not get white till late Friday. I got my Vette garage all cleaned out and mouse poison all around to catch any that think they want in. I have heard to put Irish Spring bars of soap in the car , supposed to keep the mice out..?????
I may cry when I have to put the Vette away for the winter, could be late april before it can come back out .:cry
We got it bad yesterday. It wasn't a good day yesterday with the snow. A crazy lady driver on the next street hit our Yukon on the driver side rear door and the back end of the Vette'. I'll post pictures as soon as I get back from football.
The damage isn't too bad but we have the same insurance company, even the same office so I hope it won't be too long before things are settled.
Feeling good , still able to drive the vette today. Took it christmas shopping , 50 miles each way . No snow or salt on the roads yet,so not putting it up for the winter yet. Might be a good thing when I have to put it away. Had it for 5 months and put almost 5000 miles on it. Way to many. Anyone else roll miles on like that ?
