OK - Now I have the car (2003 Z06) now of coarse I need to make it better.

What is the thinking out there? Where should I start? I'd like to hear from owners of Z06's who had mods on their cars.:confused

on my 03 the first mods were a halltec intake and a hurst shifter....then came cags defeat, flp headers ,b and b prt's out back, shaner throttle body, chrome rims, baer brakes all the way around,.........so far so good....all the mods so far have work together perfectly.......

Halltech T1/Shaner throttle body/FLP headers/x pipe/high flow cats/hurst shifter/MGW triple chrome shifter/ lowered 5/8th's of an inch on my '01.

Car runs nice probably putting out about as much hp as an '03. From what I've seen on the net..guys with similiar mods..this cars putting out about 363 rwhp....

I'm thinking somewhere down the road having a higher performance cam and ls1edit done for around 1700 installed..which should bring the car to around 400rwhp. The only thing slowing me down on doing the cam is the car is so sweet as it is.. I don't really know if I need more power..

So to answer your question..Do an intake of your choice...then the throttle body of your choice..headers ...not a bad idea and finish up the 2003 with ls1edit tuned by an experienced tech in your area..

You should be..without doing cam at just over 400rwhp..

The 2003 has a great cam right from the factory..IMHO

Good stuff - This year I may not do anything at all - just try to get used to the car. A stock Z06 with no mods is still a fast car.

Have you guys looked at SLPonline.com at all. They have a package that runs about 3.5K that will bring about 70 hp to the party. Good bang for the buck.

Thanks for the replys.

Cool ! A sister ship. I got my black 03 Z06 for Thaksgiving 02.

Just swapped my wife's 01 roadster for an 03 Anniv Edition Roadster for Easter.

His n Her's anniversary pair !

I agree, it's good to get to know your Z before putting tweaks on it. It ain't no slouch !

Get to know it a bit so you'll have a feel for what you'd like it to do better.
