Well, took the old girl out to the track on Saturday, went with my son in his T/A GTA. He was running very low 15's but was having problems with his launch (never raced before). The Vette held her head up for a days best of 13.571 at 100.14mph. I must say, even with the suspension and steering work which I have done on this car, she is very floaty and darty at 100 mph, you really have to stay awake.
Off the bottle she war running mid 14's, so no real disappointments there either.
Anyways, just thought you guys would like to know.

Cheers

Richard

Excellent! :beer

mid 14's with a zz4

not knocking, but seems like it should be quicker with 355 horses

81 Corvette, you may well be right, but I still have the rams horn manifolds, NOT headers so power is immediately lost there, but at least I can change my plugs and am not burning up plug wires and starter motors. However, I am still pretty pleased with the numbers.

:beer Hello Richard: (fyi)-no need for those problems if you run silver-ceramic coated headers, --they run very touchable, -which is why they add power over plain-steel headers... ~Bob vH :mad :r

do you have angled or straight heads? I've got dynomax ceramic headers on my 81 and plugs are not an issue (straight), on the flip side, i have burned a couple of wires, but thats because i'm an idiot.

They are angled plug GM aluminum heads.
