Does anyone know of an attractive alternative to the ugly hockey puck needed to receive XM satellite radio? Other manufacturers seem to be able to do it; seems like Chevy dropped the ball... The simpler solutions, the better!

What manufacturers have a more attractive XM anntena? I think they are all pretty ugly.

FWIW, they will have an antenna soon that integrates the OnStar cell antenna and the XM radio and the GPS receiver into one thing.

I wonder if it can be retrofitted...

I Hate Exposed Wires

I'm just glad that you can't see the #$*$# antenna wire running out from the weatherseal of the windows like you do in those aftermarket installs. I gather that they must have drilled a hole through the roof to get that wire through and hidden. Also the antenna is fixed, not magnetic, another plus for a dealer installed XM system. Smitty

At a dealership this morning, all of the XM equipped C6's had a newer version of the XM antenna. It was painted to match the vehicle and was very streamlined. FWIW A salesman told me that this was only available on corvettes. The new Antenna might be interchangeable. If so , I think you would really like the look of the new one.. Check with your local dealer..

Is the newer XM antenna a GM item? What dealer? Thanks.

Landmark in Houston. This site's administrator advises that the new antenna is only available on the Convertibles. I guess you have to ask GM why. They really look better IMHO
