I have a 1985 C4 with a code 36. I have checked the burn off relay and know it is working properly. The maf is a bosh. When I unplug the power relay is makes no change. When I unplug the maf the car stalls out. Does this sound normal? any thought...thanks...Jim

Hi, I had the same problem on my 1987, If you unplug the MAF and it stalls out, I would say 90% that its gone!!! In my situation my car was idling badly and backfiring, no power, I unplugged the MAF and the car idled fine, decided to replace the MAF, purchased a refurb at autozone, plugged it in and Oh my Gosh, it was a new car, lots of power and idles normal!!! Go for it!!!
