Hi Paul

I saw you mentioned in the other thread that your valve covers look so good because they had been powdercoated.
Since BABY is currently in the paint shop getting 'glass work and a new paint job i'm considering doing the valve covers also so they look as good as yours do.
I was quoted a price of about $125 to media blast and powdercoat both valve covers. does that price sound reasonable? I've never had media blasting and powdercoating done on anything before so have no clue what things like this should cost. The shop i'm using for BABY doesn't do this work but the shop directly across from them does so it would also be convinent and close to the main "project".
How much brighter or shinier are they once they are done compared to "new" stock covers.I'd like a clean look to them while still retaining a fairly stock appearance. I'm not looking for something as shiny as chrome of course or else i would just buy chrome covers. From your pics at least yours look great.
Is there a particular color I need to request for the powdercoating? I'm afraid it may be like painting where they are 50,000 different paint colors and trying to get the right color can be a bear!

Thanks for your help

Barry
