Mike,

I can't remember the size of the runflats on my C5 but I'm guessing they are stock because I have the stock polished chrome '98 "wagon wheel" style rims. Can you tell me the size of these you have FS? Any irregular wear on the tires or is 6/32 and 7/32 tread depth pretty much the standard for the whole tire?

Thanks,
Jane Ann

Pretty even, there is one outside rib on one front and one rear that is not quite a full 6/32. The tires are really in very nice condition.........

Thanks - assuming these were the stock tires from your 2000 coupe?

Any drying or cracking in the sidewalls?
Did you race these (track or street)?
Are the rears showing less available tread than the fronts? if so, how great a difference?

Thanks again for the info - Selling becuase you upgraded to another wheel/tire combo?

Rain>> No drying or cracking anywhere (including between the tread), don't race, actually, the rears gauge the 7's in a few areas where the fronts are more of a solid 6 in terms of the 32nds. measurements......... Selling cause I have a friend who owns a goodyear store and he made me a Don Corleone offer on a new set of rf's..............

appreciate the speedy replies -
Sure I will get a dozen questions along these lines tomorrow in my email box (or yours since I included your email in the announcement)

If I was still running runflats, Id but them myself.

Do you take paypal?

Jane Ann - sounds like they are solid and that Mike stands behind these tires if a problem comes up.

Paypal is fine Rain... mrmcguire@ameritech.net Guess what>> we're supposed to get that northern Ohio commodity in short supply this time of year>> SUNSHINE!! Gonna take the beastmobile out to blow the dust off. The upside is I love what the 35 degree air does for these cars!

Looking at your other threads it seems you have a nice working relationship with your tires buddy. HAHA!

I have a set of C5 wheels here that need newer fronts (have F1 non runflats on rear) - Let me know if you run across some F1 fronts in stock C5 size.
Thanks and sure we will do business down the road,
Rain

I'll file that info in my memory banks regarding the non-runflats......... yea, known this guy since high school when we both had hair and Joe Walsh (one of our college buddies) thought he could actually play guitar! Enjoy that banana belt weather you guys have and get that jet stream routed in a northerly direction.............

MIKE

Mike,

I'm definitely interested but as it's 3 AM here I'd rather wait until a more decent hour to go out and see what I have on my car. That okay with you? Will get back to you Sunday afternoon if you don't mind.

Jane Ann

Absolutely... these are the stock C5 sizes which are 245/45/ZR17 front and 275/40/ZR18 rear. By the way, its 4:38 a.m. here and I sometimes wonder what in Gods name am I doing up at this hour........ Oh well, they say any day above ground is a good one!

Mike,

I'm sending you an email now! I don't like to post my email address in a public forum but the subject of my email will be RE: CAC Goodyear Runflats.

Thanks,
Jane Ann

Thanks Mike!

When these come in I'm going to wait until I can go 30 full days without picking up a nail before I put them on my car! :D

I've had so many nails in my tires thanks to Katrina that I was considering asking Rob to change my username to PLUGS! :L
