Four 18" wheels on a C6?

I was wondering if any of the forum members have changed wheels on their C6? I'm considering a new set of polished rims as I really don't like the competition grey wheels on my silver vette.Too dark. I plan to keep the orignal wheels and tires but I'm thinking about 18's all around so I can rotate and extend the life of the tires. I also wonder about going to a bit larger aspect ratio to improve the ride. Is there a problem with changing sizes? I expect the computers won't like it if there is a difference in diameter - so what size tire would be the same diameter with an 18" wheel and a 45 aspect ratio tire? I live in the midwest where the pock marked roads are pretty annoying and I'm willing to give up some grip for a better ride.

Thanks in advance!

HI there,
The circumference of the tires is what is critical here.
Your computer safety systems, Active handling, traction control and ABS, look for rotation of the wheel for correct operation.
If you change that, you will not have an optimized system and that could lead to problems down the line with the way they function in an emergency event.
I would not suggest that at all. Stay with the original tire sizing.

Thanks for your advice...of course, it is the circumference that is the critical measurment, not diameter as my previous post refered to. Duh, I feel stupid.

But still, If an identical circumference tire is used, would there still be problems "down the road" if the aspect ratio is changed? If not, then it's simply a matter of finding out which 40 aspect ratio has the same circumference as the 19's in back and which 45 aspect ratio fit the 18's in front. The selection of matching 19 and 18 wheels is pretty limited compared to just 18's. And I would like a better and quiter ride. I can't be the only one unhappy with the noise and stiff sidewalls of the stock run-flats.
