What is the best way/product to use to clean surface rust off a corvette frame and what should a seal the surface with afterwards?

You should get about 100 different answers to this one. Its all according to how nice you want the frame to turn out .
I am old school, grab a wire brush and get to it and then treat the frame with a rust proofing chemical, primer and then paint. It should keep you busy well into the fall.

Thanks for the advice. Any certain type of rust proofer, primer and paint I should use? Sorry, but I am a beginner on all this

Best advise I can give you is go to your local auto parts supply that sells paint and such and ask them what they recommend. Every place has their own brand and can tell you what works well . Talk to the guy that mixes the paint if you can , they are usually very helpful.
I don't know if you have ever heard of these people but I buy a lot of stuff from them and have over the years been very pleased with their products.

I had my 73 frame media blasted. Then used POR 15 before the POR dries spray a coat of satin black enamel. I made up a spray wand from a garden plant sprayer and shot the por inside the frame rails it worked well.
