just used it to check out my daily driver (97 Saturn) that I had bought. It showed that it never had any major problems. I really feel that I got a good deal when I bought it.

Don't believe carfax. I just checked out my vette and the information they are giving is wrong! The report stated that there were two owners but then further down in the report it shows five titles issued. I know for a fact that I am the fourth owner of this car. The mileage they are showing is also wrong. They are showing 152,000 miles and I again know for a fact that the car only has 53,846 miles on it. I bought the car from a friend of mine and he knew the two previous owners before him. When he got the car it had 38,878 miles on it and when he sold it to me it had 52,534 on it He took it to have an emissions test right before I bought it and they wrote the mileage down as 152,000 instead of the correct mileage of 52,000. For the car to have that much my friend would have had to of driven it 100,000 miles in 22 months which was the last time he had had an emissions test done on it and the mileage at that time was 51,000 miles. I know for a fact that he did not do that. The car was sitting in his garage all that time and only being driven once a month on a weekend. I had sent carfax an email when I bought the car to try and correct the mileage but they never did. So just be aware that what they report is not always fact!

Just tried it on my '76 but it gave me an error message about not having the right information. I guess the VIN's don't go back that far...
