Hello all
Okay our 80ish C3's come from a era that used front bras/mask and I've been thinking long and hard about installing one to the Collector Edition. Not only for protection and to cover imperfections but really for the look of that era also. So please post up your pix's of your C3 with the bra/mask.

What "era" would that be? I owned C3s during the time you state. I've never used a bra and I saw far less cars with a bra than you imply. That said, the choice of using one is totally up to you.

I considered one for my 81,and was talked out of it b/c it would rub the paint off .

They looked like crap in the 80s....and they still look like crap today.

But, beyond the ugliness, there is one big problem with fabric front end bras, if any dirt gets under them, i.e.: between the paint and the underside of the bra, that's the kiss-of-death for your paint. Dirt under the bra scratches the hell out of your paint.

So, if you're going to install one, you need to regularly, remove it, clean it and wash the surface below.

You don't care for them thank goodness it's not your car. All the cautions are well taken and I'm the type guy that would do all the necessary things/maintenance to maintain the Mask to avoid any damage.

Back to original topic Pictures anyone?

I hate the look, obviously, but I also can appreciate wanting to mimic a certain look from years past.

What they looked like in the 80s is fresh in my mind. That period was before vendors of that sort of product developed ways to color them, so they were all black vinyl or other plastic with a fabric under layer of some sort.

After a brief search of the web, it looks like there are several sources for such a product.

Take a look at this image

Bra/mask purchased and will be installed, I will use it as needed and may leave it on. Thanks to all, I will post pictures when it arrives late in January.
