This is one of those subjects (like paint) where you will get numeous opinions!
Fiberglass bumpers can be made to perfectly fit the body by sanding, filling, etc. However, they can not absorb any impact without damage. But they look great and paint matches the body!
Urethane bumpers will absorb low speed impact, but may warp over time and some have a marginal fit. They do not fit as well as fiberglass bumpers.
Truflex is somewhat of a mix of both fiberglass and urethane. Paint matching is easier than with urethane. They are mainly fiberglass material, but do have some type of resin which makes them ALOT more flexible than true 100% fiberglass. However, they are not flexible like factory original urethane. Cost is about $300.00 for a front bumper.
I would obtain the opinion of someone that has worked with/installed Truflexon on a corvette--I have not. I hear very good things from people that have them on their cars, but a body shop person should have some good advice on this topic.
