Front bumper mountings.

Does anyone know the specific name of the mounts that attach the nose of the 78 to the frame, and are the part of the headlight mounts? Mine have rusted away and i think that is why my headlights are not even with the body and won't move. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I just pulled all of the front bumper frame work from my '78. It was all in pretty good shape. I don't know what the proper name for it is, but when I get home, I will look in my Assembly Manuel for you.

What you are talking about is the bar that the bumper is supported by, and also has the vaccum tank for the headlights? Looking at my Assembly Manuel, it looks like they called it the "Extension Assembly". If you want, I can scan that page for you.
