Hey guys, Trying to assemble the front bumper area on my '74 coupe after having the body off for 3 years. There are a few things that it didn't have when I took her apart. The rods. That is how they are id'd in the assembly manual. They are 3/8" threaded on one end flattened with a 5/16 hole in the other end that attach to the outer bumper brackets. What do these do? I have made a couple and the right one seems to fit without any clearance issues. Not so for the left (drivers side) one. It makes contact with the headlight benzl or the bracket behind the head light. Next the bar. Again this is how it is identified in the assembly manual. This appears to be the bumper itself. It seems to be mounted to the outer bumper brackets along with an "extender" ,one or two, I can't tell for sure and also the middle brackets. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a "bar"? I have one extender do I need two of them? Do the outer bumper brackets need to be shimmed?
As always thanks for any help.
